The Bureau has issued a clarificatory Memorandum Circular with regard to the Chemical Control Order (CCO) for Cyanide and Cyanide Compounds, specifically regarding the registration and importation clearance requirements.
Some important issues included in the Memorandum are:
- On transactions between companies in the Philippines regarding Cyanide and Cyanide Compounds, the involved companies must have a Memorandum of Agreement wherein the amounts of Cyanide distributed/purchased/used comply with their CCO Registration
- For Sodium Cyanide, the EMB Central Office will be involved in the evaluation of the CCO Importation Clearance.
- Importation Clearance shall be valid within six (6) months after its issuance and for “single shipment only”.
